Gala Bingo Promises the Best Bingo Club in Britain

Gala Bingo Promises the Best Bingo Club in Britain

- September 08, 2016

Gala Bingo has promised its first new building project in nine years. The UK company invested £5m for the build in Antelope Park, Southampton, which is due to open in the first quarter of 2016.

The announcement was made last July 2015 following the government’s previous proclamation of bingo tax reduction from 20 percent to 10 percent. This is a welcome change for the business sector, after a decade of difficulty appealing for changes in tax policy, as well as the smoking ban.

Simon Wykes, Managing Director of Gala Bingo said that this new project will offer a “leisure experience” instead of traditional bingo. He claims that the plans are all going well. So, now along with all the fantastic Gala Bingo bonuses on offer, this whole new venue will delight patrons directly to their doors.

“We are delighted with the number of members we have attracted which is ahead of our internal targets,” he said. “We have run an integrated marketing campaign, in addition we also recruited a fantastic team to help us reach our target.

“We are very proud of the club and believe we have built the best bingo club in the Britain. We are positive that this will result in Antelope Park being a very successful bingo club for us.”

The venue aims to introduce a new concept of bingo by broadening its appeal through new differentiated zones and much improved facilities to attract younger audiences to play happily alongside traditional audiences who grew up playing bingo. The site features a 500-seat traditional bingo hall with soundproof glass, a heated outdoor bingo garden where clients are free to smoke, and a vibrant arcade with the latest slot machines.

Gala Bingo runs more than 130 bingo clubs in the UK and owns around 30 percent of the UK market. Wykes claims that the heart of the project is centered on good quality food and services. He also mentions that the company will focus on the application of the latest technology, because more than half of Gala Bingo’s members prefer to play bingo online through tablets, instead of traditional bingo books.

“Not only do we offer great products in zoned environments, we are also moving forward on service," Wykes said. “Bingo has always attracted friendly, chatty teams but we are increasingly focused on removing queues. Our digital tablets play a key part in this. Once you've picked up your tablet from one of our racks and found your lucky seat, you can then relax and let us look after you."

The new site will also feature a pub-style food menu that clients have access to while playing.

“You can buy and play your favourite bingo and slots games and even order something to eat or drink from your tablet, all from the comfort of your seat.

“Whilst bingo remains timeless, our investment in product, service and environment ensures that customers get a high quality, contemporary leisure experience and the chance to win.”

Not only does Gala Bingo promise a pleasant atmosphere for new and loyal bingo players, but there are also openings for career opportunities. The club is expected to create at least 50 new jobs for the local community.
