Yes, you have seen the greatest poker players who have graced the green felt, but have you ever wondered which countries they hail from?

Poker Pros of the USA
There is no denying that the US has birthed many of the great poker players of the world. The US holds the 1st rank in Total Money Won by Player Country, with a jaw-dropping US$5,462,169,359. In fact, the top six players in the US All Time Money List have cashed in more than US$20 million dollars each. Top Poker Players of Germany
Germany is in 5th place in the Total Money Won by Player Country rankings with US$330,323,877. Some of the famous poker players from the country are Ole Schemion, Tobias Reinkemeier, Philipp Gruissem and Fabian Quoss.
At present, there are two German poker players in the top ten of the Global Poker Index ranking. These are Fedor Holz and Dominik Nitsche. At just 22-years-old, Holz has already made headlines in high roller tournaments. Nitsche, on the other hand, has a total of three World Series of Poker bracelets. Nitsche’s professional poker career began in 2006, when he first started playing poker at online sites.
Professional Poker Players of Canada

English poker players are also regulars in the top Global Poker Index ranking. Some of the commendable individuals who have played the best poker hands are Stephen Chidwick, Jack Salter, Simon Deadman and Charlie Carrel.
Poker Pro Players of Spain
Spanish poker players have shown real skill at the tables, pooling together a total of US$102,338,489 in player country winnings. One of the biggest contributors of that amount is Carlos Mortensen, who is currently in 22nd place in the All Time Money List with US$11,962,092.
Poker pros from Spain also rank high on the Global Poker Index ranking. Adrian Mateos is currently in 13th place, but he can be expected to rank even higher, as this 21-year-old has only begun his bright poker career. In fact, he was only 19 when he won the 2013 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event for €1,000,000. He might very well compete at the World Series of Poker 2016 and win.
Pro Poker Players of Australia
With the Aussie Millions going down every year in their homeland, more and more Australian poker pros have made their mark in tournament history. Australia ranks in 7th place in the Total Money Won by Player Country ranking with US$228,434,862.
Some of the greatest Aussie players are Jeff Rossiter, Alexander Lynskey, Jeff Lisandro, and Joe Hachem. Hachem happens to be in 1st place for the Australia All Time Money List with US$12,126,201.
Top Poker Players of Italy
With US$277,862,177 in total winnings, Italy is one of the most competitive countries in the world of professional poker. Italian poker players usually rank in the Global Poker Index, and currently there are two in the top 25.
Italy’s current highest ranking player is Mustapha Kanit whose career highlights include eight cashes and two final tables at the WSOP for US$346,721; a 4th place finish in the High Roller PCA Bahamas; and two victories in the Aussie Millions in Melbourne.
Other incredible players are Dario Sammartino, Max Pescatori and Filippo Candio who have all won more than US$3 million each in live tournament prizes.
