Hurling Basics

Hurling matches are played between two teams with 15 players in each team, on a large rectangular field. The field has two goal posts resembling a H shape on each end of the field. Points are scored by striking the ball through the lower or upper half of the goal post. The balls struck through the lower part is called a goal and carries 3 points, and the balls that go above the post carry 1 point.
