Similarities of Blackjack and Super Fun 21
Super Fun 21 Rules are pretty easy to understand. It is played with the standard deck of 52 cards. Depending on the casino rules, players can use anywhere from 1 to 8 decks. In this game, aces are valued at 1 to 11 while face cards are valued at 10 and each card is assigned a face value. The goal of the players is the same in blackjack, too — to come as close as 21 as possible. If you do not have a blackjack with the cards in your hand, the second best thing to do is to get a hand with a total to 21 points. And with this, the more cards you have, the better your payout will be. With 5 or 6 card hands with a total of 2, the payout will be 2:1.
Differences between the two games
These two games have different payouts give for every specific hands. Moreover, the player will automatically win if they are holding six cards with a value of 20 or less.Take note that, in this game, player blackjack always beats dealer blackjack. A blackjack in diamonds will have to pay the player 2 to 1 and also, a value of 21 in 5 or more cards is also paid at the same range.

How to play Super Fun 21
First, the players should make the minimum bet required. This minimum bet varies with every casino. Once the bets are complete, the dealer distributes the card starting from his left side and continuing clockwise.
The players will each receive 2 cards facing up. The last to receive the cards is always the dealer. He will have one card facing up and one that is facing down — hidden from everyone’s eyes. If the dealer’s up card (the card that is facing up) is an ace, the players will have a choice if they want to take insurance, also known as side bet, or not. Insurance is when you protect you hand against all the probabilities that the dealer might win. In this game, if a player chooses to take in a side bet, he must place an additional bet of half of his original bet and place it in an area on the table marked as insurance.
Insurance is offered in all casinos as a standard option. This is also true for online casinos that offer blackjack. But players should keep in mind that just because insurance is an option, doesn’t make it a good one.
When is the only time you can get insurance?
When you, yourself, have a blackjack. This is because you want to insure that the hand you’re holding get a positive outcome. Blackjacks are paid at 3 to 2 and they don’t come around that often. If you are unfortunate enough to get a blackjack at the same time as the dealer, this is what we call a push. A push means that you tie the hand and receive no money back for your blackjack.
When you take insurance in this scenario, you will push on the blackjack but you will get 2 to 1 on your insurance bet. If the dealer do not happen to have a blackjack, you will lose the insurance bet but you will collect 3 to 2 on your blackjack. Some players always insure their own blackjack. However, when you look at it, you will that it is still a bad bet. In the long run, you will be better off if you ride out the hand and hope the dealer doesn’t have a blackjack.
How to take insurance
As a player, you can only take insurance if the dealer offers it or has asked if anyone wants to take it. When it is your turn, if you want to take insurance, simply place an amount of chips equal to one-half of your original bet on the area on the table marked as insurance. For example, if you originally bet $30 on the hand, you would need to place a $15 chip on the table near the word INSURANCE. The dealer will then acknowledge that you have chosen to take insurance and move on to the next player.
Additionally, if you happen to be playing blackjack online, taking insurance is very simple. Whenever the dealer shows an ace, a box will light up on your screen with the word “INSURANCE?” If you want to take this option, just click the box and the insurance bet will be placed automatically.
If the dealer has blackjack, the players who took insurance lose their original wager. They will, however, win their side bet and collect odds of 2 to 1. The result is that the player has come out even on the hand. Don’t look at you not winning any money. Instead, look at it as you not losing any. However, if the dealer do not happen to have a blackjack, players that took insurance will lose their insurance bet and the hand continues normally with players being given the opportunity to act on their hand in a normal manner.
All pairs may be split up to four hands. Double down after splitting is permitted, even on aces. Split aces may also be hit. Most blackjack games only allow one card on split aces.
Super Fun 21 Strategy
If the dealer don’t happen to have blackjack, all players should decide on their own if they want to do any of the following:
- Players can give their hand up and get back half of their original bet.
- Players may hit 20 or less
- Players may stand on any total
- Players can also double down on any original two-card total
- Players may choose to split any pairs, even aces, up to four hands. Split aces can also be doubled down and even hit in Super Fun 21
One of the added features in Super Fun 21 is the Double Down Rescue. In this feature, if a player chooses to double down on their hand and turns out to not liking the new card they have received, the player may choose to surrender half of their doubled bet and to get the other half back.
These rules make Super Fun 21 appeal to players especially to beginners.
Options of the dealer
The rules of the dealer in this game and in blackjack are pretty much the same. But with one major difference.
In this game, the dealer must hit any total of 16 or less and the known soft 17. Players should keep in mind that the dealer hitting the soft 17 raises the edge of the house and the only way he can improve it is to take a hit. This is the casino’s way of giving the dealer a free card. That card may be the difference of you, the player, taking a win and losing your whole bet to the house.
