Independence
Hityah is built to be funded by affiliate commission, and at the time of writing it is not funded at all: we hold no commercial arrangement with any operator we list. Our advertising policy sets out exactly how that model works when agreements exist and what they cannot buy. This page covers the other half: how the content itself is produced and checked.
The structural protection is ordering. Verification happens against primary sources before any commercial discussion, and the score produced by that verification is what sets an operator’s position. A commercial relationship cannot change a figure, a tier, or a finding.
How a figure gets onto a page
Every number published on this site passes five steps. No exceptions, and nothing gets waved through because it looks about right.
- Trace it. Every numeric claim — licence numbers, wagering multiples, stake caps, withdrawal windows, RTP figures, review counts — is traced to a specific source document and its URL recorded.
- Tier the source. Tier 1 is the regulator, the operator’s own terms, or the game provider’s own specification. Tier 2 is a recognised industry body or a provider’s published data sheet. Tier 3 is a third-party aggregator or database. A Tier 3 source is never sufficient on its own for a licensing, stake, bonus or RTP figure — those are exactly the figures aggregators carry stale.
- Date it. The date of capture is recorded with the figure, not with the page.
- Test it against UK rules. A second pass checks each figure against the rules currently in force for Great Britain: the 10x wagering cap and single-product rule under SR Code 5.1.1, the £5 and £2 slot stake limits, the withdrawal of feature buy-ins from the GB market, and the advertising restrictions listed below. A figure that is legal somewhere else but not here does not get published as a UK figure.
- Sign it off. Sign-off is recorded as the page’s Last verified date. Nothing carries that date automatically.
Where a figure cannot be traced, we leave it out and say why on the page. A blank with a stated reason is more useful to you than a plausible number, and it is the honest description of what we know.

How this content is produced, including our use of AI
We are disclosing this because it is true, and because you would be able to tell anyway.
A substantial number of pages on this site were drafted with AI assistance under a process that did not meet the standard set out above. Those pages were written to a length target rather than to what could be verified, and their figures were not consistently traced to source. Some of them contained claims about first-hand testing that did not describe anything we had actually done. We have removed those claims.
The standard we now hold ourselves to:
- No figure appears on a page unless a person has traced it to a named primary source on a stated date. Drafting tools do not supply facts; they help arrange facts we have already verified.
- No page claims first-hand experience of anything. If we did not do it, it does not appear. Our review methodology states the boundary explicitly.
- No word-count target. A page is as long as the verified material it contains. Where that produces a short page, we ship a short page rather than padding it.
- Any claim that survives drafting but cannot be sourced is cut, not softened.
Pages that have been through this process carry a Last verified date. Pages that have not, do not carry one — and that absence is deliberate, so you can tell the difference while we work through the back catalogue. We would rather show you an incomplete site honestly than a complete one that is quietly unreliable.
Authorship
Pages carry a collective byline: Reviewed and updated by the Hityah editorial team. We previously published pages under individual author profiles. Those profiles have been retired and the pages that carried them now redirect to our review methodology.
The reasoning is that on a site of this kind, what should be verifiable is what was checked, against which source, on what date — not a name and a biography you have no way of confirming. A named author who cannot be verified adds nothing; a documented process that the pages visibly follow can be audited by anyone reading them. Responsibility for everything published here rests with the Hityah editorial team collectively, and corrections reach us at the address below.
Corrections
Write to [email protected] with the page and the figure you believe is wrong. What happens then:
- We acknowledge within two working days.
- We check the figure against the primary source rather than against our own previous page.
- If we were wrong, we correct it, update the page’s Last verified date, and — where the error was material, meaning it could have changed a reader’s decision — note the correction on the page itself rather than silently editing it.
- If we were right, we reply explaining which source we relied on, so you can check our reasoning rather than take our word for it.
What forces a re-review
Outside the standing 90-day cycle, a page is re-checked immediately when any of these happens: a licence changes status; an operator changes terms affecting a figure we publish; an operator changes ADR provider; or the regulations themselves change. The January 2026 wagering cap is the clearest recent example — it invalidated bonus figures across the entire sector overnight, including correct figures that simply predated it.
